My maniraptoriform topology is very similar to Senter (2007)'s one. Given these results, the troodontid status for Austroraptor in my analysis is mostly based on postcranial characters. Interestingly, in my analysis, Aniksosaurus results a basal alvarezsaurian.Andrea Cauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10855060597677361866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2156944512466583246.post-34844602323864847842009-01-05T11:04:00.000+01:002009-01-05T11:04:00.000+01:00I added the Epidexipteryx codings from Zhang et al...I added the Epidexipteryx codings from Zhang et al.'s (2008) matrix and reran the dataset, and found a similar tree. This time, Aniksosaurus joins Austroraptor as a basal arctometatarsalian (the latter clade which does include alvarezsaurids in my trees). Interesting... It may be a big basal alvarzsaurian (if your analysis support arctometatarsalian alvarezsaurids)... what Andrea Cauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10855060597677361866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2156944512466583246.post-10705514915277647782009-01-04T21:21:00.000+01:002009-01-04T21:21:00.000+01:00Okay, I finally got the Anchiornis supplementary d...Okay, I finally got the Anchiornis supplementary data, so I coded it in my supermatrix (something like your Megami, but with only coelurosaurs in the ingroup, and with only 478 characters coded so far). It emerged as an archaeopterygid, along with Rahonavis. I also coded Austroraptor, and it came out... as a basal arctometatarsalian?! Weird. Granted, no hindlimb characters have been added yet,Mickey Mortimerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08831823442911513851noreply@blogger.com
